Melanie Spies matriculated from Stellenberg High in 1994. Thereafter she completed
BSc (Physiology and Genetics) at the University of Stellenboch in 1997 and
BSc (Physiotherapy) at the University of Stellenbosch in 2001.
Melanie practiced Physiotharapy for 3 years after which she joined
the Pharmaceutical industry as a Medical Representative. In 2005
Melanie joined a Contract Research Organization where she was trained
as Clinical Research Associate. Melanie joined Virtus Clinical
Development in August 2007.
Linelle Campbell matriculated in 1993 from Queenstown Girl's High School. She went on to get a B. Ed Degree at the University of Port Elizabeth.
Linelle entered the pharmaceutical industry as a Medical representative with Innovex Sa where she was involved in Field Staff training and recruitment aswell as reaching and exceeding all targets set. In 2003 Linelle joined a small CRO where she worked for 2 years before going on her own as a Contract Clinical Research Associate.
Linelle's experience stretches as far as MCC, Pharma ethics, Wits and SAMA full submissions. Submissions of additional investigators, amendments and progress reports. Site selections, initiation visits, close out visits and full monitoring responsibilities. Drawing up of Newsletters, Case Report Forms, Source templates. Assistance with writing of Protocols. Site Audit preparation. Linelle has had Monitor, Country Lead Monitor and Project Management Experience and joined Virtus in 2008.
