Roger has more than 30 years experience within the pharmaceutical industry of which more than 20 years were spent with Sandoz (now Novartis), where he held several senior positions within the organization in Switzerland, Canada, Indonesia and South Africa. The past 10 years, Roger has been instrumental in the development of a number of small to medium sized companies in USA, Canada and South Africa. He holds or has held senior executive and board positions within some of the companies,
He is also involved with biotechnology developments in South Africa as well as being an adviser to some biotechnology companies based in Canada and Switzerland. He is a member of the Institute of Directors, South Africa.
Roger obtained his degrees in mechanical engineering and business management from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland. Other postgraduate studies include economics at Concordia University, Montreal and business strategy at Columbia University, New York.
Roger is a member of the Western Cape Branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD).
The IoD is a membership institute for directors and leaders in the private and public sectors, dedicated to improving their expertise, professionalism and status.

Trudy Lowe graduated in 1984 BSc (Hons) Pharmacology 2:1 at Sunderland Polytechnic , United Kingdom . She has 15 years experience in clinical research environments, from the research site ( Royal Postgraduate Medical School , London ), the pharmaceutical industry (Wyeth, Glaxo), the contract research industry (ClinPharm/Ingenix) and the recruitment and contract personnel industry (ClinPharm, Futures Resourcing). In the late nineties she lived and worked in South Africa , establishing the SA office of ClinPharm International. With her team she was successful in gaining sufficient business to ensure profitability within the first year of operation.
Trudy's career has allowed her to develop a broad range of management skills including:

- Contract proposal generation
- Personnel Recruitment, Training and Development
Member of the Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) UK , since 1988.

Ms. Sandra Hamman
Sandra Hamman was born and raised in South Africa and has knowledge of its health, political, financial, and social systems. She has relocated to the west coast of North America where she advises potential clients on the services that Virtus can bring to their clinical development programs in South Africa She recently concluded successfully training at Prime Trials, Vancouver in clinical research including GCP and ICH guidelines.
She graduated in 1978 with an Honors Diploma Aesthetics/Cosmetology, from Pretoria Technical College, South Africa, and has further qualifications in Reiki, and physical therapy. She is an international registered body worker, and massage therapist, (CMT). In the 1980’s she immigrated to the USA and has also lived in Hong Kong for an extended period. Her professional background in the health sector is augmented by business experience in various roles, including marketing, management, administration, and finance.
